• EZ-MDF makes loop management applications possible, and its software and application programming interface provide easy control of any number of EZ-MDFs from virtually any point or application on the network, with accurate, real-time documentation of the physical network and connectivity. It integrates with any operating support system and scales to manage thousands of frames in a network-wide deployment.
  
  
• The advanced testing features included in EZ-MDF let technicians remotely qualify and test circuits running from the central office to the customer's location using standard testing equipment, for both narrow- and wide-band testing. Because all copper loops that normally terminate on the vertical section of the MDF appear on the EZ-MDF, all cable pairs can be tested, including UNE-Ls, unused pairs and special service pairs. And since EZ-MDF is situated between subscribers and network equipment, testing is not compromised by interfering elements like splitters, providing direct metallic access to all pairs.
